E!Online is reporting that George Michael will show up tonight on the finale of American Idol.

Earlier this week, Nigel Lythgoe announced that "the biggest star in the world" would be appearing. I really don't think that would be how anyone would describe George Michael. I like him.....but 'the biggest star in the world'? uhmmmmmm......no.

This morning on Ryan's radio show, Nigel said that the 'most famous star in the world' may not be a musician. (oh just tell us already!)

Others scheduled to appear include Carrie Underwood, The Jonas Brothers, So You Think You Can Dance dancers, Mariah Carey (possible duet with David Cook) and Neil Diamond.
