The 2008 Emmy Awards were held tonight and hosted by American Idol's Ryan Seacrest with a little help from some of the other popular reality tv hosts including Heidi Klum from Project Runway, Tom Bergeron from Dancing with the Stars, and Survivor's Jeff Probst. Deal or No Deal's Howie Mandel also pitched in to help.

For the first time ever the Reality TV hosts were acknowledged at the Emmys with their own catagory. The presentation of the Reality TV host award was one of the most entertaining moments of the night, with Jimmy Kimmel playing a reality tv host and the nominees acting as contestants from different reality shows--being judged, making the final two and being offered a deal from the banker.

The Amazing Race was awarded the Emmy for Outstanding Reality -Competition Program. This was the sixth win for The Amazing Race, which is a record breaking win in the Emmy World.

Earlier this week, Kathy Griffin, "My Life on the D-List" won the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program.
