Without a doubt, Bonnie Hunt gets the 'Best Interview with David Archuleta' thus far on his promotional cd tour. Archuleta's hit the Ellen Degeneres Show, Live with Regis and Kelly, MTV's TRL to name only a few, but Bonnie Hunt took the lead today on her talk show with the actual interview of Archuleta asking more than the 'usual question.'

Before singing his hit single, "Crush", Archuleta talked with Hunt about his time on Star Search, finding out about his vocal paralysis during that time (in which it was hard to sing even two songs) and his decision to almost not participate in American Idol last season. He says he had just gotten a new summer job running the lights and sound at the local park amphitheatre, saying "It was hard to find a job! I finally found a job, I didn't know if I should go" said Archuleta.....and he wasn't sure it would be worth it to do American Idol. His friends kept encouraging him to audition, as well as his own conscious and now he's glad he did.

David talks about his family, especially his brothers and sisters, and how their support continues to keep him grounded. "They are the ones who've always been there, no matter what----they always have my back. I like how they still treat me like David."

Archuleta fans will be happy to hear that David also donated a few cd's, posters, the shirt he was wearing today, as well as a bracelet he wore through the American Idol Tour to 'Bonnie's Basement'----which is going to be an auction to raise money for the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University in Chicago. Bonnie is currently collecting items from her celebrity guests and will start the auctions soon. Check it out at Bonnie's Basement
